An 85-year-old man from Kabelvåg in the Lofoten islands, lost his life in a båtbrann at a workshop in Ballstad in the Norwegian fishing village on the night of Thursday.
- Røykdykkere made the discovery of a man on board. Resuscitation was attempted, but he is now pronounced dead by the physician, enlightened the police at 04.20-time on the night of Thursday.
Police got the message about the fire at 02.44.
Fire department quickly gained control of the flames, and there was never any proliferation or explosion hazard. The cause of the fire is not known.
