The unemployment rate fell to 4.7 per cent – Romsdals Budstikke

This constituted 4.7 per cent of the labour force, a fall of 0.1 percentage points from the month before.

While employment fell by 14.000 persons from august to november, increased the population in the age group 15 to 74 years. Thus fell the seasonally adjusted the employment rate by 0.5 percentage points to 66,8%.

the Unemployment rate has fallen by 0.2 percentage points from august to november, according to seasonally adjusted figures from the labour force survey (LFS). It is equivalent to 6.000 people and is within the margin of error. The number of registered vacant and people on the action with Nav was unchanged in the same period.

Highly educated without a job

the Unemployment rate among those with higher education has increased by 8 per cent from november 2015 to november 2016, a growth rate of 1.187 persons. The growth came on the East and west coast.

For those with primary schooling as highest education, there was a decline in the unemployment rate from november 2015 to november 2016 at 6 per cent.

California had the strongest growth in registered unemployment by 13 per cent. Rogaland had the second highest growth in registered available with 11 per cent. The increased unemployment rate among those with higher education must be viewed in the context of reduced employment in oil-related industries, where the education level is relatively high.

Consider themselves available

The ledighetstall is based on LFS – labour force survey – and reflect how many who consider themselves as unemployed. Figures from the Labour and welfare service (nav) is the number of registered unemployed among them.

Typically, the LFS unemployment rate will be greater than the Nav the unemployment rate because many are truly unemployed, not registered with Nav. This applies in particular to people who are new on the labour market and who are not entitled to unemployment benefits.
