Wednesday, 11. January clock 10.46 went off a vådeskudd that hit the calf at the official who fired the shot. The incident happened on training for emergency responders at the shooting range on the Water outside Sandnes.
the Official was transported by ambulance to the Stavanger university (SUS) for the treatment. He was operated on Wednesday, and according to SUS, the condition is serious, but stable.
“We feel with his colleague, and are pleased to hear that his condition is stable,” says Egil Eriksen, acting head of Joint operational unit in the South-West police district.
the Event is notified Spesialenheten for police matters. The national police directorate (POD) and the labour Inspection authority is also notified.
the Police have no further comments, says Eriksen in the press release.
