Statoil breaks helikopteravtale after korrupsjonssak – Haugesund Newspaper

STAVANGER, norway: Statoil has chosen to break a letter of intent with Norsk Helikopterservice after the police have charged a Statoil employee and a leader in the helikopterselskapet for gross corruption.

Statoil says that they started the internal investigation of an employee when the company received notification about possible violations of internal rules.

– Statoil has given the police information about the case, and the police have taken out charges against the employee and a person in Norsk Helikopterservice for gross corruption, says Statoil in a press release.
