– I so long that it was fish on the rod. But I let it stay a little, for I thought it was a tusk. Eventually I realized that it was not a tusk.
The fish on the fishing rod to Andreas Vik is a white kate. The species to ensure Andreas species number 100, as the first in Norway 18 years.
– When I first saw it come up, I was ecstatic. There were some wild cheers roar when it first came into the boat, says Andreas.

Was introduced for new fishing techniques
Andreas says that the idea of Norway record has been in mind for quite a while.

there are only three or four years ago the interest for arts fishing began at Andreas. Two buddies took him on tents and fishing, near where he lives in Langesund. Buddies introduced Andreas for a whole new way of fishing; namely to fish for different species.
– I thought that was so cool and it was when it began, says Andreas.
Mil etter mil
as list to Andreas grew it became necessary to move. He has traveled to Stavanger, Bergen, Oslo Area, Lillestrom and Fredrikstad. The latter to get freshwater species.
– There have been periods where I’ve spent a lot of gunpowder on fishing. It has gone with much leisure time and many weekends, says 17-year-old who has just completed the first year of high school.
carp are Andreas’s largest fish, at 9.7 kg.

He remembers especially one traveling to Bergen, which took place earlier this year.
– we had been there for two nights without getting the species I was looking for, but then we changed place last night, says Andreas.
the species he was looking for was a havmus, characterized by rather special eyes.
– On the water surface, we see only two large, green eyes. It was pretty amazing after spending two nights laughs Andrew.

– I’ll just like to fish more. There are many more species to go out to fetch. Maybe I manage 110 species, and 105 before I turn 18, says Andreas who had birthday in May.
