Left-Trine lunch racket: – Frightening about Listhaug attend defeat intentionally – VG

Progress behavior in government is “badly done” against Prime Minister Erna Solberg, and it has led to FRP receive less support for its own policy, says Liberal leader Trine Skei Grande.

she says she has a hard time understanding what FRP tried to achieve when they rejected a broad agreement in Parliament on the immigration policy two weeks ago.

Tuesday went KrF- leader Knut Arild Hareide out in VG and came with strong criticism of the Progress behavior in government.

Lunch Noise

VG told the weekend about how Right and Progress Party ministers in the government fell to a hefty bickering over a government lunch on the government’s asylum policy. Commotion arose after Solberg confronted FRP that they would go alone once in Parliament, rather than negotiate a wide asylum settlement.

But FRP chose not to follow Solberg insistent invitation to negotiate, and at a team meeting in Right gave Solberg according to VG sources clearly stated that she was available and felt “cheated” by FRP.

– Do you agree with Hareide that Erna’s authority weakened by way FRP behaves in government?

Erna Solberg: – We would have managed more

– no, I have no need to criticize Erna. But I have a need to criticize FRP. They have created a new way of doing parliamentarism on where government parties can oppose and weaken their own ministers. They did it with Robert Eriksson on board and they are doing it now with Sylvi Listhaug on asylum. There is no doubt that Listhaug now been greatly weakened by this, says Grande, adding:

– It’s an amazing strategy from a party that they want to weaken their own and most popular minister. I do not understand it, she says.

Applies itself defeat

Left leader held Tuesday’s final press conference before the summer holidays and said she reacted strongly to Progress “strategic games “.

– It’s badly done by a partner not wanting to help the government can get majority in Parliament. Here contributed FRP instead of inflicting its own government and its own minister defeat. The government need not go to these defeats. It happened because of FRP.

– would this have been different if left sitting in government?

– Had Left been in power, we would not treated Erna way. Left has a very different parliamentary tradition where party trust the we give responsibility as ministers. FRP does not care about it, and weakens gladly Sylvi Listhaug as minister to prove “purity of indignation.” To think not. What emerges now makes me the only more confident that it had not been for the Liberals to sit in this government with this working method. I see the how difficult it is for the Conservatives. One can imagine what it would have been even more parties into this, says Grande.

Scary

– VG discussed at the weekend how Sylvi Listhaug and Erna Solberg disagreed over strategy for the government’s asylum policy. What’s your response to that?

– For me it means Sylvi Listhaug have not understood what politics is all about. Politics is about gaining acceptance, to achieve something. It’s not about playing a game. If VG writes is true, then it is frightening that we have ministers who knowingly attend defeat in Parliament. Obviously she loses pleased to say that others do things they do not mean, says Grande.

– Are you afraid that this may affect the Liberal issues?

– No, we get the more impact when FRP keep on this way. We experience, however much trouble. We are exposed to a strategy where FRP signs agreements, but they must have additional group meetings and a lot of fuss. They bungle our victories. It’s stupid, says Liberal leader.

Very satisfied

VG has been in contact with the Progress Party’s parliamentary leader Harald Tom Nesvik. He has commented on the issue:

– Progress parliamentary group has been keen to get through the most restrictive and the greatest possible support for the Government’s proposal. We have always been open to negotiate with all parties about subsidære solutions to get it as tight as possible, but other parties have been more concerned with preventing government parties in promoting essential proposals on tightening field and get voted on these in Parliament says Nesvik.

– however, we are very pleased that the government has now received approval for substantial tightening of asylum policy.
