Two people escaped from the truck that ran off the road in Bjøråa – Adresseavisen

Two people were Monday night taken out of a truck that drove by Norwegian County Road 17 at Bjøråa in Høylandet. It confirms Trøndelag Police on Twitter. Both needed help to get out of the car and onto the road.

– One is ambulatory while the other treated by health professionals on the spot, police said.

No witnesses

Tank car, which was on the way in direction Foldereid, ended up at the ceiling after running through the crash barrier. According Due is unclear what happened.

– There have been no witnesses to the descent, so the investigation must provide answers to what happened. We have not had the opportunity to speak with the driver of the semitrailer yet, said Due.

Difficult salvage

The place where the accident happened, according to Adresseavisen reporter very steep and rugged . It is also confirmed by police. After the two people now carried away start planning for the rescue work.

– Salvage conditions are very difficult since the tanker has rolled off a very steep cliff. As it is now I know simply how the salvage will happen, said Due.

Operations Monica Ravlo at Trøndelag Police reports that the tanker overturned, but the load is completely harmless. Recovery will probably not be made Monday.

– We are working on a plan for the salvage, but as it looks now it must be pretty much safety work to first, says Ravlo.

The road is now completely reopened after the accident.
