A mopedfører is taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Trondheim. The driver is suspected of drink driving and testified that he drove the moped on purpose.
The condition of the moped driver is not clarified. According to police, he injured both legs, but the injuries are not life threatening.
The 53 years old driver was arrested at a distance from the accident site, after reports that a car had spun around in a ground on E6.
– when we arrived at the place stood an acquaintance of us with a beer in hand and drank beside the car. He was well drunk and admitted taking the car. He also admitted that he has run the moped on purpose, because he stood in the way, says operations Rune Brandmo Trondelag police.
Police were notified mopedpåkjørselen – happened on Skovgård Trondheim – around the clock 1:15 Friday night. Then came the message out that the driver had run on. Next message 53-year-old bilferd came almost simultaneously. The man is in custody, and the license has been revoked. The car will probably be filed spaced.
