Watchmakers-robbers still at large – Drammen Times

DRAMMEN: It was just after 15:30 yesterday afternoon that the robbery alarm at watchmaker Roll Hansen in pedestrian was triggered.

When police arrived at the site just minutes later, two of the staff found handcuffed inside the store. The two had been threatened at gunpoint and subjected to large amounts of pepper spray, and had to run to the emergency room for treatment.

The perpetrators, as the victims are described as four Eastern European men, were vanished from the spot. The robbers were joined watches to an unknown value.

Heavily armed police set up roadblocks around Drammen and checked every car that drove out of town.

Several witnesses questioned

Saturday afternoon are robbers still at large, confirms Tina Berg, police chief and head of crime guard at Drammen police.

She said police have questioned several witnesses, but that she did not want to go out with some details in the interests of the ongoing investigation.

– Do you suspect who the perpetrators may be?

– As of now we have no named individuals, says Berg.

Have pictures of robbers

Police confirms over dt.no that they have taken out footage from surveillance cameras in watchmaking business, and that the robbers are caught on film. The police will consider whether to go with images from the robbery Monday.

– Do you have pictures of the faces of the robbers?

– What I can say is that we have images of the robbers, and that they were not masked, responding Berg.

Surveillance photos from the site, and information from witnesses, shows that the perpetrators ran from the spot on foot. If they had a getaway car standing nearby are not yet known but could be a possibility.

Rans victims, according to Berg being physically unharmed but very affected by the incident.

– They were physically controlled by the perpetrators, she said.

Police still want contact with witnesses who may have seen the robbers or who has information about the case .
