Peanut butter withdrawn after discovery of dead mouse – NRK

It is found dead mouse in peanut butter produced in the Netherlands. The product, unsalted Suma organic peanut butter category coarse (crunchy), is also sold in Norway.

Hazard

It is the EU reporting system that has notified the Norwegian authorities on the matter. Mattilysnet now warning consumers against eating peanut butter.

– Bones can provide potential choking hazard. There is also the risk of infection. We ask anyone who may have glass with the current peanut butter with best before date 10 April 2016 not to eat it, says Mehammer.

A limited number of glass is sold in health food stores in several places in the country. According Matportalen.no product is partly sold in stores in Bergen, Sandvika, Oslo, Harstad, Kongsberg, Stjørdal and Stavanger.

In Norway Kinsarvik Fruit Sales AS importing peanut butter, which is produced by Horizon Natuurvoeding in the Netherlands.

Kinsarvik Fruit Sales AS has not answered NRK inquiries.
