Had to cancel camping with Abid Raja for threats – TV 2

The plan was that students would counted by Eiksetra in Finnemarka outside Drammen. The trip, which had been arranged at the initiative of Liberal politician Raja, would take place on Thursday night next week.

The tour is now canceled after it has come into threats, writes Aftenposten.

– The decision to cancel the trip was taken for information and advice from the police. It was a threat against the event, says communication Ingvild Bakke of the Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT) said.



Crown Prince should be

DNT was involved in arranging the trip, which had the objective to get more immigrants into the wild. According to Aftenposten consists immediate area around Bjerke high school in Oslo by some 40 percent immigrants.

Originally it was also planned that the Crown Prince should be on the trip, but his participation was canceled two weeks ago.

Police reported the threats

DNT will not say anything about the nature of the threats, but said that it was the police who contacted them.

Raja himself is disappointed that it now will not be any trip.

– It is most embarrassing for youngsters who were on tour. I was involved in the planning and should leave, but were in agreement with DNT agreed to cancel, says Raja to VG.
