15-year-old charged with premeditated murder – Clear Voice

15-year-old has admitted to killing social worker Anna Kristin Gillebo Backlund last October. Backlund was stabbed when she was on night duty at the institution Small Devices. That’s where 15-year-old lived.

The girl is now charged with premeditated murder, writes the newspaper Dagbladet. She risks a forvaringsdom.

If that happens, she becomes the first under 18 years receiving such a judgment. It is given to people who are considered to be so dangerous that a regular time-limited prison sentence is not enough.

The defender of the girl told indictment Thursday.

– There is no basis for a forvaringsdom said defender Cecilie Nakstad.

Nakstad says that the girl was 15 years and one month when the murder occurred. And it’s not usual to judge as young people to custody.

The defendant is considered. Three professionals have concluded that she was not psychotic or unconscious. She therefore is considered sane.
