The incident happened just before 19 o’clock Monday, and closure of the runway led to some delays. Two lights on the runway was destroyed, according to NTB.
Remi Presttun was headed by another plane, as he witnessed the incident.
– I got when the plane landed. I saw a vapor cloud when the plane had to slow, a little more than what I have seen in the past, but it was not very dramatic, says Presttun.
He says the plane was standing beside the runway for about ten minutes, before it came fire – and rescuers to the site. The aircraft was examined before it ran on.
– There was no drama, and the aircraft ran to the terminal under its own steam, says press officer Lasse André Vang Stein at Oslo Airport to Aftenposten.
– The runway is slightly shorter because of the ongoing work, and with slippery runway due to rain, slipped aircraft over safety buffer. It is at 300 meters, says director Knut Morten Johansen SAS said.
There were no reports that anyone has been injured in the incident.
