Now alerts dairy giant on its website that they will sell out of the mining company that will extract rutile in Engebøfjellet in Naustdal, Sogn og Fjordane.

In Nordic Mining’s website, it laid out a list of the 20 largest shareholders.

Third largest owner

Where enthroned the Tine-employee pension fund, MP pension PK, as the third largest shareholder, which received Liberal Sveinung Rotevatn to react vigorously:

– For many in Tine would probably grate on the knew where the money is placed, said parliamentary representative and added:

– On a fine spring day in Vevring in Førdesfjorden it looks like in Tine commercials with beautiful cows grazing and blue sea in the background. I doubt that Tine in the future will put a seafill of mining waste in the background.

Yesterday wrote Tine that the company now will sell all its shares in the mining company.

– uncertain consequences

– The TINE-employee pension fund MP Pension, has since January sold off in Nordic Mining and will sell the remaining shares by the end of June, according to the press release.

Dairy giant signifies that their stake in Nordic Mining since January has been reduced from five percent to under 2.7 percent today.
board Kassa will sell the remaining shares during June.

– We have reduced our inventory since New Year because we are uncertain about the future consequences for the environment and therefore we choose to withdraw, says Director of Communications at Tine, Lars Galtung.

Tines pension fund has been the owner of Nordic Mining since 2007.

400 companies

When Dagbladet wrote about Tines ownership in mining company in April said Galtung following:

– MP pension mandate is to increase the value of pension cash, but will only invest in companies that follow the law and not on a collision course with ethical norms. Tine is also responsible for ensuring and monitoring that the investments made are correct.

Moreover stated Galtung that Tine has been joined the criticism against the project in Førdesfjorden while registering the government has given Nordic Mining the necessary permits and subsequent claims.

Nordic Mining was one of around 400 companies Tines pension crate invests.

– It is done continuously assessing the investments you have stated Galtung.

Sets up bemused to date

– This is a decision that Tine takes on the basis of their own judgments, says CEO Ivar S. Fossum in Nordic Mining Dagbladet.

Mining Director still stand in wonder at the time Valentine chooses to withdraw, and notes that the company has been a shareholder in Nordic Mining in many years.

– I can only conclude that Tine decide to withdraw now, after years of investigations and after the government has confirmed that seafill in Førdesfjorden is a safe solution, says Fossum.
