It confirms station chief Tore Salvesen at Bergen west police station opposite the BT.
– We did notice around kl. 21 of hikers who had found something that looks like a skull. It is. We think it is from a human, says Salvesen.
The discovery was made in a landfill on Kyrkje Tangen on Bønes in Ann Arbor in Bergen.

Crime Technicians work at the site a few hours Wednesday night. They took the skull as they left the scene at 23 o’clock. A large area is blocked off.
Examines skull
The skull will be examined by forensic experts Thursday, police said. The investigations will include clarifying the deceased’s age and how long skull has lain in the earth. About finding may be related to a crime, it is still too early to say.
– I can think of several cases where we lack a person, says Salvesen. He would not comment on whether there is damage to the skull.
Three missing
One of the most talked-missing cases in Bergen, the Dung Tran Larsen’s disappearance in July 2007. 22-year old disappeared from his home in Krabbe valley. Her husband, mother-in-law and brother in law were all charged with having killed her, or complicity to murder. All four, however, was exonerated when Prosecutions dropped the case after evidence.
Another big issue is Trine Frantz disappearance in 2004. In 2007 her former spouse charged with murder, and a friend of him was charged with having obstructed the police investigation. The following year dismissed the Attorney General case against the two on evidence.
According Salvesen there are three missing cases in his area. In addition to Dung, comes a man who disappeared in Canada Forest in 2009, and a man who disappeared in Mathopen last summer.
Forgetting recently
Earth masses that the skull was found, was deposited at the site recently. The stone embankment should have been in place for some time, after the BT experience. Police work to identify where the earth comes from. There should not be anything suspicious about the deposit itself.
