Worker fell from a high mast – NRK

– Sea King helicopter managed to bring the man out of the mountainside, and they landed at Stavanger Universitetssukehus 13.30, says Edvard Middelthon in JRCC.

The time 12:12 received emergency message if an industrial accident at Ragsvatnet by Oltedal / Dirdal Gjesdal. A man had fallen from a high mast. He worked up the mast when he lost attached and fell.



Rescuers worked long to save the man down from the mountain side.

Police and health workers who managed to place. The man was in steep and difficult terrain, and it was challenging for rescuers to get him out. Both JRCC Sea King and air ambulance help.

– The man is conscious, but probably seriously injured. The crews worked hard to secure himself and the patient in the terrain, which is very steep and rugged, said operations manager Charles Bøgild in South Western Police District.

According to Aftonbladet accident happened in connection with roadworks on county road 45 between Oltedal and Dirdal Gjesdal municipality.
