Police and paramedics who managed to dock in Båtsfjord clock 20.15 on Friday evening, after notification that a person bled.
– We did notice that there was a person who bled on board a foreign boat . We came out with the ambulance and when we arrived at the place, it turned out that he was stabbed, said operations Thorfinn Halvari in Finnmark Police District.
A person is now detained by the police, while the man who was stabbed is transported to health center in Båtsfjord.
– the condition of the person who was stabbed is unknown, says Halvari.
NRK has been in contact with health center in Båtsfjord, but they do not want to comment on the condition of the man who is stabbed.
According to NTB was the injured unconscious when the ambulance arrived at the site.
the police are now on the quay in Båtsfjord to form an overview of events.
– There is a person on the premises which we suspect were behind the stabbing. Beyond that it’s hard for me to express myself because we are right at the start of the case. Further investigation will show what has happened, says Halvari.
