Severe weather gives OBS forecast in the country south of Nord-Trondelag – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): If you have not come up at the cottage for the winter, or do you have planned to hit the road again tomorrow?

Take to you the advice of meteorologists first.

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has in fact sent out OBS forecast for virtually the whole country south of Nord-Trøndelag.



Traffic Problems

The problems are greatest night and early Saturday.

Meteorological Institute has issued OBS forecast for west coast south of Stad, More og Romsdal, Sør-Trøndelag Telemark Agder, Vestfold, Østfold, Oslo, Akershus, Buskerud, Oppland and Hedmark.

– Attention forecasts in the past day has been extended to the lowlands in eastern as well as the other areas. Tonight, there is a wind increase in the mountain, in addition to snow and blowing snow on mountain passes in southern Norway. There will also be snow in southeastern Norway, said state meteorologist Espen Biseth Granan Dagbladet.

In the lowlands of eastern Norway can be problems in traffic. Meteorologists alerts so-called zero lead with around freezing and snow. Meanwhile, winter started in 13 of the counties.

– There is 10 to 20 millimeters. This can create problems, because people might be out to run in the morning, says Biseth Granan.

Wind rise in the mountains come in the night and will last until about midday. The snow in southeastern Norway will come early in the day, while it looks better in the afternoon and evening.



Strong winds

The storm that sweeps over Norway the next half hour coming from the Atlantic and will consequently lead to high winds on the western coast.

On the west coast it tonight and night southerly gale on the coast and in the mountains. The same goes for Møre og Romsdal and Sør-Trøndelag.

The strong wind and snow will also lead to difficult driving conditions in the mountains.

– It will snow in several places until it clears up. That means it could be good skiing conditions for those who are concerned about that. The conditions can now be deplorable in several places, while it looks better from Sunday and the week – especially Østafjells says Biseth Granan.
