(Dagbladet): – It is scandalously poor control with the receipts. They can make a bundle of money and there is little control over the quality requirements they have signed. And there have been zero reaction from the government on that here it is obviously big money only gets drained out of the delivery operation, says Second Vice Chairman of the Parliamentary Social Affairs Committee, Karin Andersen (SV).
Mango Puree as medicine
A reception was so rotten that the municipal medical were notified. Money that should go to the asylum children went to completely different things. And porridge and mango puree was stated to be “emergency medical care”.
There are some of the findings from a review Dagbladet has done all UDI’s audit reports with the reception centers in the country.
– Now you have to create an independent oversight and municipalities and volunteers must receive mission receipt. When asylum seekers from states, they are harassed and the government’s response is cut in money for food for asylum seekers, while millions flying out of control. It shows how cynical they are thinking about asylum seekers and how lenient they handle tax our money, says Andersen. She believes the time people are in the reception must be cut sharply.
Want a new scheme
– We need to get a new settlement scheme. Settle people in the municipalities when they have been granted residence and pay rather than the municipalities to put more money into the reception. People get sick of being there. It’s expensive, stupid and destructive, says Andersen.
Saturday wrote Dagbladet that a number of police tops butcher UDI handling refugee crisis.
“The situation has been difficult, and there have been cases where decisions have been taken prematurely and without sufficient expertise,” said police chief Geir Ove Heir in Salten Police District Dagbladet last Saturday.
Police Chief Trond Widme at Indre Østfold police have written a letter to Immigration where he hopes UDI introducing better and more inclusive procedures in the future:
“In this context, I wish to criticize the process that UDI has the establishment or expansion of receipt. UDI should have realized long ago that the situation in Europe might imply that there would be many unaccompanied minor asylum seekers to Norway. The process of several destination sites should have been initiated long ago, and that both the municipality and the police should have been involved in the process at a far earlier date “, writes Widme in the letter.
– Has closed eyes
– Police are right, says SV Karin Andersen.
– Throughout the run up to the refugee situation, the government has closed their eyes to the facts, waited to take necessary preparations, met refugees with poorly designed and poorly implemented measures, says Andersen on. She notes that the OR already last September asked for an emergency meeting.
– The government sat and watched the chaos occurred and it is only thanks to the police, the volunteers and local authorities’ profits that the total collapse has not occurred. This is the government full responsibility, says Andersen.
The Ministry of Justice has been offered to comment on Dagbladet’s article, but has so far not commented on the matter.
Christine Wilberg, receipt Director of Immigration, told Dagbladet last Saturday that they take the feedback from the police in the evaluation of 2015.
“We must look at how we can be better to share information with the police and local authorities in advance, in light of the available resources and what is actually and practically possible to achieve in situations with tight deadlines, “, said Wilberg Dagbladet.
UDI have told Dagbladet that they will comment on the criticism from SV and audit reports at a later date.
