(Dagbladet): Yesterday told Dagbladet lives of several young girls who had been enrolled in the AUF except they were aware of it.
Their stories are not unique, which has got the other youth parties to respond.
– AUF give all youth parties a bad name, says SU leader Nicholas Wilkinson.
Two requirements
Therefore promotes all the other youth parties from Red youth FpU, two requirements to AUF.
1. They hope AUF will request that the Council of the Norwegian Youth Council (LNU) enters and helps AUF to clean up the membership their routines, including by making it easier to withdraw from.
2. At AUF disclose how many 10-million members they have in their registries.
10 million members referred to are an introductory memberships that apply to all who are ververt the AUF. The membership will last until the calendar year in which they are entered, regardless of what time of year a membership are enlisted. At the start of the new calendar year, the members receive a membership fee of 50 million, to be paid if they wish to continue their membership.
And it is this introductory membership which is why part of the irritation of the other youth organizations.
– AUF boasts that they are the largest youth party, but we do not know how many of their members who are 10-million members. In SU is the minimum enrollment amount 50 million, says Wilkinson, who calls it a “fool members.”
– Disrespectful
General of AUF, Ragnhild Kaski, responds to its members being called “deceive members.”
– You are an equal member with us anyway, and therefore we did not come to go out with how many people pay what. We think it is quite disrespectful to mention our introduction members who “deceive members” and will remind you that several of our nårværende management joined the AUF just as the 10-million member, including our leader Mani Hussaini says Kaski.
Regarding the requirement that LNU will step in and help with the cleanup, says Kaski it falls on its own absurdity, since it is not their role to keep track of membership lists for youth parties.
– Besides we have a complete overview of our membership lists. LNU itself also agree that this is a totally unnatural demands to ask, says Kaski, and stresses that it is obvious that as long as one does not pay dues, so is not eligible member.
– Stools down on members
SU leader Wilkinson says that “things are happening at all,” but there is a difference whether it is a single miss or “systematic deception”.
– We have confidence that AUF not wants it to be that way and will gladly help them clean up, says Wilkinson.
Kaski AUF believe that to argue that they give the other youth parties a bad reputation is to denigrate their members.
– There is a suspicion of anyone who joins AUF because they have a commitment to a school for all, a more just world and a better environmental policy. It is a pity that it comes such statements from SU and FpU, because it creates the impression of member cheating, something AUF which organization can verify that no votes, says Kaski.
Simonsen-refs
Another who has put up strong opposition AUF referral is FpU leader Atle Simonsen. For just over a year ago complained AUF that they cover a twelve year old girl with promises of free school meals and extra sleep when they enlisted her. In the wake of the case wrote Simonsen scored in Dagbladet.
“It is systematic dishonesty and cheating. This has happened repeatedly over a 10-year period and can hardly be accidental, this is something you learn in AUF. “
He has not been something softened during the past year.
– Now AUF stop exercising their representatives to use these offices methods to lure children. It is no coincidence anymore when it has come almost identical examples since 2004. They destroy all other youth parties when they are doing so and reduces seriousness level and legitimacy of the youth parties, Simonsen says to Dagbladet.
Responds to Strong words
– to claim that we train our members to use dishonest methods solstice I think FpU and Atle Simonsen can stay for good for. This is not true, then we have office routines emitted regularly, and that anyone who is looking to talk with youth and enlist know how to go forward. I also react to Atle Simonsen use such strong words, and accusation that we destroy their seriousness, when as recently as this summer was to read in the newspaper Gjengangeren that FpU had recruited 16-year-olds in Horten VGS by tempting those with party and alcohol, says Kaski.
the Secretary-General underlines nevertheless that the AUF has a number of procedures for recruitment and that they want to behave in an orderly in all contexts, but that unfortunately is so that the procedures are not always followed to the letter .
– This is something we are constantly striving. It is important to remember that many of our active members are young people themselves, often peers of those who are enlisted, but no one should feel pressured or deceived into signing up into the AUF, says Kaski.
– We naturally want to clean up all cases where people have experienced his meeting with AUF as uncomfortable.
