A man in his 20s has been charged with raping a girl in her late teens at a hotel in the city center on Saturday night.
It was the girl herself who contacted the police just before 02.
– She Reviewed a somewhat older man for a rape, which allegedly took place in a hotel during the night. Exactly where the hotel is currently a bit unclear, said operations manager Ebbe Kimo in Sør-Trøndelag Police VG.
The unnamed man was later apprehended not far from the hotel.
– We do not yet know how the two have come in contact with each other or what is the relationship, says Kimo.

Neither the aggrieved or the accused has not yet given any full explanation to the police.
– It’s so early in the investigation that we have little information to go out with. But we have to some extent control the scene, and continuing investigations during the night, said Operations Officer.
VG has been in contact with crime guard in Trondheim, who are investigating the case, but they do not yet comment.
