Alone in the car, came across the wrong way – Dagbladet.no

A Norwegian person and two Lithuanians were killed in a head-on collision between two cars in Hallingdal on Monday night.

A third litauer – a 24 year old woman – is admitted to Ullevål Hospital with moderate injuries.

– Witness Information suggests that one car has come across in the oncoming lane. It should have been the car with one person, said operations manager Ole Kristian Bekkedal in North Buskerud police.

The person who was alone in the car, died in the accident. The person related to Hallingdal, tell the police.

In the second car were three people resident in Lithuania.

– Two people are dead. The third was flown to Ullevål Hospital and is admitted there. We have been informed that the condition of the person concerned shall be stable, says Bekkedal.

In an updated damage report from Ullevål hospital Monday afternoon, it stated that the damage is moderate. The injured is a 24 year old woman.

The police will not yet go out with details about the gender and age of the deceased when they were still working to notify next of kin.

The accident happened just west of Torpomoen few kilometers from Hallingdal at a stretch without sharp bends.

The police was notified of the accident at 03.47 on Monday night .

The course of events are currently unknown. Police and Accident Investigation Board Norway has been on the site and investigated, police said.
