VG: Police believe Betew manage drug league – Dagbladet.no

Police in Oslo mean Nokas-judged Metkel Betew emerges as the leader of the drug league is exposed in Oslo last week, writes VG. According to the newspaper’s information has 36-year-old introduced large quantities of hashish to Norway.

Betew was with eight other people in custody Wednesday of this week. All are charged with serious drug offenses.

According to VG’s information has Betew introduced 50 kg hashish to Norway, and had plans to bring in 20 kilograms of ecstasy and a further 50 kg cannabis shortly.

Police struck against the league believes Betew leader, at dawn Monday morning. Altogether 16 people are charged with various drug offenses.

According to VG Betew had three key aides in connection with the importation of large quantities of drugs to Norway this summer. These are two robber sentenced brothers of 28 and 33 years and another 28-year old. All were among those who were arrested in police major shareholder.

Einar Aas, head of the police’s organized crime division, would not comment on the newspaper’s information. Betews defender Marius O. Dietrichson said he is precluded from commenting on the particulars of the case, nor the defenders of the three alleged henchmen want to give any comment.

Betew has refused to explain to the police but maintains that he has done nothing punishable.
