Labor will allocate nurses – Aftenposten

The turnaround is a recognition that Ap several times tried to strengthen health centers and school health without success, explains Aps health spokesman Torgeir Micaelsen.

– The reason why we have not suggested it when we were sitting in government, is that earmarking also has some negative aspects for municipalities. Let me say that this is a proposal we are going to learn from harm, says Micaelsen to Aftenposten.

He urges Right to join a settlement.

– What about an untraditional grip? All parties are determined to strengthen school health. Let’s meet in a settlement in the health care committee and unite to earmark funds for these services, says Micaelsen.

Christian Democratic Party Olaug Bollestad contender Right. She believes last year’s efforts were too weak and call current school health indefensible. KrF wants therefore both earmarking and a staffing norm for public health nurses, tells Bollestad.

Socialist Left Party also supports Aps proposal earmarking of funds for public health nurses.

Conservative representative in Health Care Committee, Tone Wilhelmsen Trøen opposes earmarking.

– We will pay close attention to how the free funds are used, but to earmark money deprives municipalities freedom to organize their services in the best possible way. There is something Right not intend to go in for now, she says.
