A tree year-old child was Saturday afternoon brought out of a car that ended up in the river Gaula in Melhus in Sør-Trøndelag.
Three-year, according St- Olav’s Hospital have suffered serious injuries and being critically injured, according to Adresseavisen.
It was at 15.23 that South Trøndelag Police was notified that a car had gone into the river in Melhus. Half an hour managed emergency services along with witnesses on the spot and get the baby out of the car and the river.
The car, according to operations manager Ann Kristin Øie have rolled into the river.
– We have not got the clarity of the exact sequence of events yet, but the car must have rolled into the water, said Øie Dagbladet.
She says that the child was the only person in car when it rolled into the river.
The car was parked outside of a Rema 1000 shop on site before it rolled into the water.
– Exit place for your car is at Rema 1000 store in Melhus. After the descent, the car driven 200-300 meters down the river. There has been a massive effort from both diving service to Trøndelag fire and rescue and passersby, who together got the baby out of the car, says efforts leader Jomar Sjøhagen to Adresseavisen.
