The first officer was sentenced to six months in prison – Rome Blad

LATEST: first officer (39) on Air Baltic flight is sentenced to six months in prison. Flight attendants received respectively 45 and 60 days’ imprisonment.

The first officer took thinking time after the verdict.

Also the two flight attendant’s case is processed in Lower Romerike District Court today.

Here prosecutor submitted the claim on 75 and 90 days in jail.

The court will now treat custody for the 50-year-old captain, it will not fall verdict in the case against him today.

The charges against the commander is expanded so that the conditions are not present for that matter can be settled today. Prosecutors want him remain in custody until a hearing commencing on September 17.

Lower Romerike court agrees the petition that the captain should be detained in custody until 17 September.

The captain accepts the ruling.

The blood sample taken by the captain showed 0.54 parts per thousand.

Added the claim seven months in prison

The prosecutor says there of general preventive reasons must be reacted strictly against such serious breaches of aviation law.

stewardess testified

One flight attendant who also is accused in court has told that she drank alcohol at 20:00.

She does not drink to normal and had not eaten so much, it emerges in the legend.

She continues and says she took five small glass of whiskey and cola, but that she did not remember when she lay down.

The crew blew red

It was Saturday two weeks ago that they four crew members blew red before departure at the airport.

The reason they were taken was after a tip from the public.

– We received a worrying message that the crew could be affected, and therefore chose to implement control, said operations manager Thorleif Skovereng then.
