17-year-old seriously injured after falling from rope lanyard – VG

A 17 year old boy is flown to hospital after falling down from a homemade rope lanyard.

The accident happened at Intake Dam in Drammen in Drammen, where 17-year-old and his friend had set up a homemade rope lanyard. The police was notified about the incident just before 17.30.

– The rope broke when the boy threw himself out, and he hit the mountain on the waterfront. We are talking about a drop of two to three meters, said operations manager Tore Nuven VG.

Currently know Operations Officer little about the extent of damage in the case, but says that 17-year-old is taken to the hospital in air ambulance. Police Inspector Rune Fiskum at Drammen police says to NRK that the boy is seriously injured.

– The boy had severe pain when he was run off. Relatives are notified of the accident, said Nuven.
