A great-grandmother of 76 years was recently told by the hospital that she was pregnant – and with twins. Blunder is probably because the doctor scanned notes have been misinterpreted.
According Budstikka got Kjellfrid Nordvang a letter from Vestre Viken health with response to cardiac tests.
It said furthermore that she was pregnant with twins.
“The patient received by the ekkocardiografi evaluating the known VSD. 2. Initial pregnant with twins “, says the doctor who wrote the letter.
– Now I laughed since I got up this morning. And I can not stop, Nordvang, who has four children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Kjellfrid Nordvang, is according to the Work Law, originally from Dalsbygda.
Here, she has today a cottage, she visits several times a year.
it’s obviously been a mistake, admits Birgitte Stoffel, nurse at the medical polyclinic who keeps it as “very likely” that the 76-year-old is pregnant.
Probably the gaps occurred due to speech recognition apparatus which doctors use.
– This is the first time I hear of such a thing, but I think the appliance must have misunderstood what the doctor said. Doctors speak your notes, which will be written automatically to save time between patients, says department nurse.
