204 picture rape cases reconsidered – Aftenposten

Public Prosecutions ordered last November that all picture rape cases over the last decade should be reviewed. It was a result of the NPRA had kept secret 1548 accident reports point to reasons why life is lost in traffic.

The review is now complete. None of the 27 police districts or eleven prosecutors believe it is due to the resumption of the 204 cases, newspaper VG.

In 46 of the 204 cases there was a hidden report pointed to errors by the way, but this gave not due to the resumption, the conclusion.

– We have confidence that it’s been done a thorough and proper review by the District Attorney and police, says Anders Blix Gundersen at Public Prosecutions.

a letter to the Ministry of Transport writes Prosecutions that “prosecutors in the police have not given recommendation request of reopening in some of the cases, and police recommendation is followed by the public prosecutor in all matters.”

A 20 year old man was in Last November acquitted of bildrap after an accident report from the Public Roads Administration was presented in court. VG has previously revealed that Norwegian Public Roads Administration reports, the so-called UAG reports, has been kept secret for survivors, police and courts since the reports were introduced in 2005, all fatal accidents.
