Rabbit rescued from burning house – got O2 therapy – VG

Fire and rescue agency in Oslo rescued a rabbit out of the burning apartment. Proper treatment received life in your pet.

The clock 14.27 Friday afternoon received the Fire and Rescue agency in Oslo a notice of smoke in an apartment in Maridalsveien. When they arrived the approximately 50 square meter apartment, it turned out to be a fire.

– A rabbit was rescued and given oxygen in an ambulance on site. It was sufficient for the rabbit revived, says Morten Bergh guard commander at 110 exchange VG.

He says that it is not the first time the fire department comes an animal rescue.

– This has happened before. There are some years ago, but recently we rescued a cat. We also rescued dogs and budgies from various fires. Animals in need is one of those things we most often promoted into. Humans and animals are high in focus, says guard commander, adding that “cat tree” is a classic.

Ole-Marius Brattlie, who was responsible for the rabbit after the fire, has never experienced similar.

– No, I have never given oxygen therapy to a rabbit before. But according to health personnel in place is the treatment going to when one is exposed to smoke, he said.

He says that the rabbit was not in shape when he was responsible for it.

– It was limp and looked bad, but after ten- twelve minutes of treatment revived it. As far as I know, it was transported to the vet, says Brattlie.

Bergh stating that the owner of the rabbit are informed about the rescue operation, and that the people who stayed in the apartment were taken to a routine check.
