Man flown to hospital after frontal – Fædrelandsvennen

ÅMLI: clock 21.36 police received notification of a traffic accident on highway 41, just south of Amli center.

– Front facing front-collision on Highway 41 at Amli church. Three people were involved, lighted Operations Magne Storaker College police on Twitter.



Caught

Police officer Jon Kristian Bendiksen says to Fædrelandsvennens reporter on the spot that there was a van and a passenger car that collided .

– A man and a woman sitting in the van. The man was stuck squeezed after the collision, he said.



Flown to hospital

They were respectively 82 and 72 years old. One of the cars should have gotten slap on the slippery road and come across the opposite lane.

– The fire department freed him, and he is flown in an air ambulance to hospital in Arendal, says Bendiksen.

Operations Øyvind Andersen says to Fædrelandsvennen just before midnight that the man according doctor is serious, but not life-threatening damage.

– We send up crime technicians to the scene, he said.

Undamaged

The woman who sat in the same car was ambulatory after the collision.

– She got out of the car on his own and is transported to the hospital in an ambulance, said the police officer.

A male driver (59) of station wagon that was involved in the accident came from the incident unharmed.

– He was checked by a doctor on site, says Bendiksen.
