Progress laws earmarked money to the new animal police to be created.
– There are not talking about taking money from ordinary police work, none of the police other important tasks to be compromised. Here we are talking about giving more resources to the police and earmarking money for the animal police unit. We have promised the police increased resources in the years ahead, says Progress agricultural policy spokesman Morten Ørsal Johansen Nationen.
FRP thus comes Right in the face. Conservative parliamentary politician Linda Hofstad Helleland and Justice Committee deputy Anders Werp both said that it would be wrong if the police should prioritize animal welfare issues over other important crime.
Ørsal Johansens statements Nationen inconsistent with the Progress Party secretary in the Ministry of Justice, Hans Rosjorde, signaled last week. Then said Rosjorde police have to manage within the current financial framework. Ørsal Johansen dismisses this.
– I’ll take me a chat with Rosjorde, I said Ørsal Johansen.
It was last week that Agriculture Minister Sylvi Listhaug (FRP) warned that the government should initiate an experiment with animal police in Sor-Trondelag. Then the plan is to introduce the system in other police districts. (© NTB)
