Eritrea, Syria and Somalia are countries Norway receives the most asylum seekers from. In 2014 came the 2882 asylum seekers from Eritrea, in 1999 from Syria and 837 from Somalia, writes UDI in a statement.
It is the increased influx of Syrians who are especially noticeable.
– Syrians are trying to take over as the largest asylum seeker group. Eritreans have long been at the top of this statistic, but in the second half of 2014, there were several Syrians, says UDI director Frode Forfang.
