Friday presented healthcare minister Bent Høie (H) the new reform of free treatment choices. Centre Party health spokeswoman and deputy health and care committee, Kjersti Toppe, is not impressed.
According Høie is reform purpose is to reduce waiting times, increase freedom of choice and encourage the public hospitals to become more efficient.
– In consultation responses Ministry of Health has received are those that can monetize this positive, almost all others fear a worse health services for anyone who has not simple diagnoses knee surgery, says Toppe.
She says reform fit patients can easily choose treatment, and not those who need complex monitoring and stability over time.
– I think it’s sad that the great health project to the government’s reform as it is generally agreed that working poor and the poorest of the disadvantaged, says Toppe. (© NTB)
