Norway have sought UNESCO World Heritage status for Rjukan Notodden industrial heritage, which includes Vemork old power plant.
Vemork was the world’s largest power station when it was completed in 1911. The plant produced empirical basis for later large power plants in Norway and are representative of large power plants from the beginning of the 1900s.
