Compares Krekar restrictions with Soviet methods – Aftenposten

Compares Krekar restrictions with Soviet methods – Aftenposten

General Jon Peder Egenæs understand that the authorities feel the need to know where Mullah Krekar is located, and keep him away special environments.

– We must assume that he is considered a danger to national security, he said.

– Therefore it is reasonable that the authorities will fit on. But it must not show signs of being an extra punishment.

Siv Jensen: – Not new criminal

In an instruction to the Police Directorate imposes Attorney Anders Anundsen police to revive a provision of the Immigration Act that persons who are expelled from Norway, but can not travel because of the danger to their safety, should be told where they can stay. The instructions come as a result of that Krekar will be a free man in a week.

Friday said Progress Party leader Siv Jensen Aftenposten that we are not talking about giving Krekar a new punishment after he finished his sentence . She emphasizes that measures relate to that Krekar is a danger to national security.

Amnesty Amnesty International admits it is a difficult issue. Therefore he hopes that Krekar go to the courts if he imposed such restrictions.

Solzhenitsyn and Sakharov

Professor Mads Andenæs at the University of Oslo also hope that any obligation tested in court.

– We must remember that human rights are not there for most people, but for those whose opinions we really do not like and criminals, says Professor Mads Andenæs at the University of Oslo.

– I would find it was difficult as Norwegians and Norwegian lawyer whether we should be toppled in the European Court of Human Rights or a UN body on this matter, he said.

– Norway is after all not a country that has particular problems with the type actions Mullah Krekar now associated. We should be clearly within the international rules on human rights.

Advances USSR

He believes that it is “extremely critical” to take people into custody in the way the Justice Ministry plans for Mullah Krekar.

– Siv Jensen says there is talk of taking him into custody, but to impose him where he will reside and restrict freedom of movement his is not there a difference?

– We in my generation watched how the Soviet Union treated Solzhenitsyn and Sakharov, who was in exile. Obviously not Krekar comparable with those two. But he is not a man who should do that we are moving in human rights perimeter. I am afraid that it is there such as him want us, when we violate the principles we believe in, he has a way won.

– More in line with Obama

The professor says that he is “more in line with Barack Obama than with Siv Jensen” when it comes to handling of terrorist threats. Friday met Obama British Prime Minister David Cameron and talked about the terrorist threat.

Obama urged Europe not to “respond with a hammer” on the threat from extreme Muslims, but try to get to the type of integration policies the US has succeeded.

Fellow Anine Kierulf at the Law faculty in Oslo said on quite general grounds that there are two overarching requirements for the type of restrictions Government will use against Krekar.

– Firstly, one can not make laws aimed at one person. And secondly, there must be proportionality between the measures and the danger competent represents, she says.
