– He has not decided whether he will be in Norway or whether he will return to Pakistan. What is certain is that he will be in Norway as long as the police want it, says Elden.

Bhatti came to Norway after he himself took the initiative to the Pakistani Ministry of Interior to be deleted from fly list after he was released from Pakistani jail. Bhatti has served both in military prisons and civilian prison in Pakistan.

– He has family in both Pakistan and here in Norway, says Elden.

Police in Oslo handed the written appeal by Oslo District Court decision that Arfan Bhatti not be detained in custody. Court of Appeal dealing with the case Friday.

Elden: Could not follow police argument

Bhatti was denied visitation with his two children with his former wife, but today visitation rights after the Court of Appeal overturned samværsnekten.
