Oslo Court (VG) The Court has decided that the watchman detained in custody for one week with letters and visits the control.
Prosecutors did therefore not fully upheld in its request for four weeks.
Both the accused and the police takes time to think and will thus decide whether the ruling will be appealed on a later date.
The charges against the watchman who claimed he was shot at Blindern was earlier today expanded to include intimidation, false distress message and fake review, reported by police in a press release Friday.
Previously, the man just indicted for perjury. The press release informs the police that he is now charged with several conditions; threats, false distress message and fake review.
In the press release writes police that threat, the bomb-like object, was suited to her fear.
Would create consistency
– He acknowledges everything he is accused. The charges are extended from one record to four records. He acknowledges all the factual, he acknowledges guilt on three of the four records. In one of the records he recognizes no guilt because he says that he had not the subjective guilt. But he acknowledges having done what is actually described, says the man defends Trygve Staff.
– Why he declares not guilty on this record?
– It relates to the bomb-like object that was thrown down a slope at Blindern and where he after own statement had no idea that it was going to cause fear or evoke fear in others. He is very determined that he did not intend to scare anyone, says the defender.
– Why he threw it then?
– He wanted to create consistency in an explanation that he has since gone back on because it was not right, the lawyer said.
Recognizing bomb-deployment – denies culpability
After the remand hearing it became clear that the watchman acknowledges having posted the fake bomb at Blindern on Wednesday morning, but he denies culpability for this relationship.
Prosecutor’s request for closed doors was disallowed by the court, and the accused testified in detail about what happened at Oslo on Wednesday.
The man is referred indicted for threats.
– What do the police ” threats “?
– It relates to it being placed a bomb outside the University of Oslo. It created a threat situation, said police lawyer Kari Kirk Horn from Oslo police told VG.
She stands very doubtful that the whole affair was the result of a panic action, so the accused testified.
– Police want to verify a this further. We believe there may be a larger underlying motive, says Kirk Horn.
The police have asked that the accused be remanded in custody for four weeks. A decision is expected before the clock 16.
– Afraid of losing their jobs
Thursday took the matter of the watchman who told he was attacked and shot at Blindern a startling turn. The police stated that the man himself had staged the attack and placed out an suspicious object.
This bomb-like object led to major barriers at Oslo, fly, a huge police apparatus and large firefighters on site, and bomb group who worked for several hours to examine the object.
VG spoke to the man’s defense counsel yesterday, who told the man panicked after he managed to fire a plumbed weapons at work. He was afraid of losing their jobs, and therefore he lied and said he had been shot by a culprit.
– He figured that it would be revealed that he was carrying this gun if he reported the about this himself, and he therefore decided to alert the control panel. Then he told instead that someone had assaulted him and shot him. He says it was a panic whim, and he is deeply distressed, said attorney Trygve Staff.
Want to interrogate him more
Why the bomb-like object was located at Blindern are nevertheless still unclear, and police have not commented on the man’s explanation relating to this.
– Can the police say anything more about why he placed the bomb-like object on the spot?
– We have not entirely clear, and we are far from finished interrogating him. We want to question him more, and will also make other investigations and investigative measures. We must come back to this later, says head of section for Violence and sexual crimes, Grete Lien Metlid, VG Friday morning.

Do not comment on false bomb
The man defends nor would elucidate what the explanation for the placement of the bomb-like object was.
– I choose not to comment on matters beyond the indictment. He is charged with having stated anything false in connection with the attack, said Staff yesterday.
Friday afternoon is the remand. When asked why the prosecution wants to keep the man in custody, said police prosecutor Thursday;
– It is going to be prepared a detention petition where we allege risk of destruction of evidence. Beyond that I do not want to comment now, we’ll come back to it tomorrow, says jourhavende lawyer at the section for violence and sexual crimes, Kari Kirk Horn, VG.
