Taxi hijacked in Sjoa – went off the road near Trondheim – Dagbladet.no

A man and a woman have been arrested after having attacked a taxi driver in Sjoa in Oppland, hijacked his car and run off with it. After two hours on the run, they drove two of the road south of Trondheim.

– The driver was on a run behalf of Lillehammer when he was overpowered by the two passengers, and there was a serious scuffle in the road, says operations manager Tom Roar Ellingsberg in Gudbrandsdal Police.

– The driver said they were trying to kill him, but he escaped and got help from a passerby, while the two bilkaprerne ran off with the cab.

To Hospital

The taxi driver got some injuries to his face, but escaped the incident without serious physical injuries.

– He’s at Lillehammer hospital now and are well taken care of there, said Ellingsberg.

The attack the driver happened during a driving assignment from Lillehammer to Dombås. Beyond that the taxi driver has described an English speaking man and woman do not know Operations Officer something more about who they are or what was the motive for the assault.



Drove off the road

– It was suggested that they are foreigners but we have not yet received personal from the police in Oslo, which was responsible for the arrest.

The police was notified of the hijacking clock 1:05 Friday morning. The time 3:03 drove the cab of the road south of Trondheim, and the man and woman were arrested. Both are under observation at St. Olav’s Hospital, said South Trøndelag Police. it was the man who skirts cab they robbed to him.

The Bureau is routinely notified of descent, as police followed the cab from Klett.
