LO boss out against Sunday opening stores – Romsdals Budstikke

– Aps mayor candidates must be guarantors that it does not open for Sunday trading in their municipalities, says Kristiansen told Dagsavisen.

The order comes as a result of Confederation and Aps newly adopted politically platform for municipal elections which states that one should “uphold Sunday as a common day off and say a definite no to a general right to Sunday open stores.”

– The platform is designed for those who are going out to work at the local level. We want as many as possible Labor mayors say no thanks to Sunday opening in its municipality, says Kristiansen.

While the Conservatives and the Progress Party wants a general right to keep open on Sundays, has co Liberal Party suggested that it should be up to municipalities themselves to decide.

The deadline for comments is 30 June, but already has 4,000 responses come in, and most of them are negative. (© NTB)
