Eleven years in prison for seven rapes – NRK

The man was in January sentenced to ten years in prison for, among other six rapes, aggravated assault under aggravating circumstances and drugs. Now he is also convicted of rape by one of the witnesses in the case, in a new case in court, writes Beautiful weather.

The information on the latest rape came when the victim, her husband former roommate, testified at the trial in January. Thus the sentence of ten years extended by one year.

The accused, however appeal, says defender Odd Arild Helland.

– The judge is the an offshoot of a larger complex that was treated earlier this year, and, like the time he asks himself completely unable to understand the serious accusations made against him, says the defender told NRK.

The prosecution is satisfied with the verdict.

– The verdict is in any case not too strict on the basis of the severity and magnitude that is proven, says Attorney Oddbjørn Søreide.

He notes that 31-year-old in January was convicted of several things – drug ratio, for example, described as rough.

– The crucial for punishment length has nevertheless been rapes, says Søreide.

31-year-old has appealed from Haugaland District Court in January, so that the entire comprehensive case complex comes to a retrial in the High Court in the autumn .
