Evacuated from mountainside by helicopter – NRK

Three people were tonight stuck on a mountain side. They were stuck for about three hours before the air ambulance started to pick them out at 22 o’clock on Tuesday.

– Air ambulance is about to hoist them out one by one. After what we know they will be unharmed, but we have not received any feedback from the rescue, said Haagen Løvseth the police operations center.

The three is a man of 45 years, his daughter at 17 years and a boy of 10 years. There was also a 18 year old boy in tour mates, but he managed to get out on their own. The three older will be from Østfold, but police have not full personal details of the decade no.

It is a poor phone coverage in the area, so the police have not been in contact with the three while they were stuck. But one of them eventually managed to get called AMK-center and when action was initiated.

– Because it was a ten year old was enough different conditions to get out. 18-year-old had climbed 300 meters altitude, so it was probably no easy way, says Løvseth.

The alpine rescue group was also involved in an earlier stage of the campaign, but has not been raised in the area since the air ambulance had good working conditions.

Knutshø has some steep and airy parties. There are several alternative routes to ascend and descend the mountain.

The summit is not far from the county road 51 that goes over Valdresflye in Oppland.
