15-year-old sentenced to nine years in detention – Dagbladet.no

It emerged in Asker and Bærum District Court now clock 14.

15-year-old convicted of premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances, to detention for nine years, with minimum term of six years.

The penalty is one year less than the prosecution’s assertion of ten years of detention.

– The Court has assessed that normal prison sentence would not be sufficient to protect society, and that there is real risk that she will be able to commit another murder crime reader judge.

The court believes that the murder, if it had been committed by an adult would qualify for 18 to 19 years in prison . The girl’s young age makes this penalty is halved, says the judge.

Killed Anna Kristin Gillebo Backlunds father and brother, and the widower is present in court.

After the verdict was read out, heralding 15-year-old attorney over video link that the case will be appealed.

– We are going to appeal against the sentence and detention, but taking time to think of other questions, says lawyer Cecilie Nakstad.

– I would really just say that the experts have said, quite rightly about how I am. For the first time I feel like a man. I would not want anyone to feel sorry for me. I deserve punishment I get. Containment is fine. Now I understand what I have done, said 15-year-old in court last week.

The prosecutor in the case, Attorney Erik Forde, said to Dagbladet earlier today that assertion detention center in case virtually gave itself:

Social protection

– The decision was difficult in the sense that detention is a severe punishment in any case. When the offender is under 18, it requires additional consideration. But the severity and the particular history of this case, we had come to the conclusion we should take social protection seriously, says Forde.

The 15-year-old girl was at the trial described by police in Asker and Bærum as very dangerous. She had a number of cases of what is described as attempted murder behind him before she killed environmental worker in child welfare institution Small Devices night of October 28 last year.
