So far this year 28 people have been killed in this country. In 2013 there were 42 murder cases with 45 victims, according to the Police statistics, which only involves willful and premeditated murder.
* January 21: Vibeche Sofie Falck Danielsen (48) is found dead in Nidelva in Trondheim after Having been missing since 16 January. Police find same day bloodtracking in the apartment where she was last seen. A 48-year-old man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for manslaughter and sacrilege of the dead. He has appealed the sentence.
* January 28: John Gerhard Steen (71) is found murdered in Langesund in Telemark. A 43-year-old woman, previously reviewed for violence against him, has been arrested and charged with murder.
* March 2: A three year old dies in Helgeland Hospital Rana after being taken by ambulance after a family friend approached. Parents are charged with bodily harm resulting in death.
* March 19: A woman is found dead in a home on Old Grend hill at Kongsberg. A man, who was also in the house, being treated for carbon monoxide poisoning. The man is charged with murder in the woman.
* May 6: The missing 36 years old mother of two, Agnes Elisabeth Müller is found dead in a bundle that will be picked up from 70 meters outside Dørvika Lysefjord in Forsand municipality in Rogaland. Her husband Thomas Müller was in December sentenced to 21 years in prison for raping and killing her. He has appealed the sentence.
* May 23: A two year old girl is found murdered with numerous stab wounds when police are called out on the message about a mass brawl on Ellingsrud in Oslo. The girl’s father is arrested and charged with murder. The girl’s mother and grandmother as well as her uncle and another person with regard to the family was sent to hospital with injuries.
* June 17: Norwegian-Vietnamese Khai Dinh Ngoc (44) is found shot dead in a parking garage under Greenland Torg in Oslo. Altogether nine people charged with murder or complicity in murder. Four of them have been released, according to VG’s suspicions against them weakened. In addition, four persons charged with having assisted in the murder.
* June 28: Naser Abdol Mohamady (37) is shot dead in a residence in Enggata in Fredrikstad. A 46 year old man is murdered after he reported to the police.
* July 25: Ib Ron Svenningsen (45) is found dead outside a home in Tobol in Eidskog in Hedmark. A 36-year acquaintance charged with bodily harm resulting in death. The charges against him are subsequently tightened to murder.
* August 8: 20-year old Sami Milhem is found dismembered and killed in a communal apartment on Bigset Hareid municipality in western Norway. A 23 year old man from Nordland, the same day arrested and charged with murder.
* August 14: The body of the murdered Bjarte Hansen (58) is found burned in a bonfire smoldering below in Singapore in Oppland . Stepson Kim Andreas Kristiansen (23) is screened and clamoring for murder. After eleven days notify the accused themselves for the Dutch police and is being extradited to Norway.
* August 16: A man in the middle of the 50s being stabbed in an apartment in Hagegata at Tøyen in Oslo. He dies later in hospital. A 53-year-old has admitted stabbing.
* September 23: Hermod Magne Steinsund (48) is found shot dead in their home in a municipal hall of residence on Kvaløysletta Tromsø. The following day, a man was arrested and charged with murder.
* October 21: Åge Stavran (35) is found dead in connection with a fire in an apartment in Spjelkavik Alesund. Three men and a woman charged with bodily harm resulting in death, as well as men are indicted for arson section. The charges against the one man is later tightened to murder.
* October 23: Lillemor Laurenz Small (63) is found murdered in his home in Kirkenær in Grue in Hedmark. A 48-year-old man is charged with murder.
* 26 October: A 44 year old man from Lithuania is found dead outside an apartment building in Steinkjer. Two men and a woman is charged with bodily harm resulting in death. A man is also charged with assault.
* October 28: The man who is charged with murdering Hermod Magne Steinsund, are also charged with murder in Stein Håvard Larsen, who was reported missing on October 3 in Tromso.
* October 28: Miljøterapeut Anna Kristin Gillebo Backlund (30) is killed on the private child welfare institution Small Entities in Vollen in Asker. One resident, a 15 years old girl, is charged with the murder.
* October 28: The Afghan asylum seeker Narges Josefi (27) is found stabbed to death in Hamar. Her ten years older Afghan husband arrested after two days and charged with murder.
* November 15: A 40-year-old man is found murdered on Etterstad in Oslo. Cohabitant (35) is razor injured. A 47-year-old Italian man after announced, charged with the murder and attempted murder. The following day, the accused was arrested at a gym. He acknowledges murder, but not attempted murder.
* November 25: A man in their 50s are shot and killed on the job in Oppsal Caretaker Center in Oslo. A 53 year old Norwegian-Polish been charged with murder. The two are former colleagues who craftsmen caretaker center.
* November 30: Kenneth André Nilsen dies during a Christmas party in Melbu in Vesterålen, after he should have sought out the place and been troublesome. Three men are charged with bodily harm resulting in death.
* December 7: A 50-year-old man dies after being exposed to extreme violence in his home in Sagvåg on Stord. A 40 year old man who was visiting the deceased, is accused of bodily harm resulting in death.
* December 12: A 62 years old man is found dead in his apartment in Fairlight in Bergen. The 28-year-old stepson his arrested and charged with bodily harm resulting in death.
* December 13: A 35-year-old woman from Ethiopia being stabbed and killed in a hall of residence in Ann Arbor in Bergen. A 50-year-old Danish citizen, who is originally from Sri Lanka, acknowledges having stabbed the woman repeatedly with a knife.
* 15. December: A woman is found murdered in Ulsåk in Hemsedal in Buskerud. Her husband is charged with murder and come December 21 to Norway, where he is arrested by the police. He has acknowledged the facts of the case.
* December 22: A man in the 50s is found dead in an apartment at Ekeberg in Oslo. Two men of 25 and 50 years and a woman in their 40s are charged with murder.
* Dec. 30: A woman in mid 60s is found dead in a residence on Fjellhamar in Lørenskog in Akershus. Son in the early 40s has been arrested and charged with murder.
Note: NTB current numbers may differ slightly from the annual statistics to NCIS. This is because some murder will not fit into NCIS ‘definition of murder by year end. NCIS counts in its annual statistics only deliberate and willful killing, ie murder under the Penal Code § 233. This means that assault and bodily harm resulting in death (Penal Code L-228 and §229) not counted.In addition, these three cases received much attention this year, but are not counted in NTB statistics:
* October 13: A Greek ship officer is arrested and charged with the murder of a Ukrainian woman in 30s aboard ship Anangel Explorer, which arrived at Narvik. The woman is not found. The man denies guilt.
* October 21: A 32-year-old man is arrested and charged with murder of eight-year-old Monika Sviglinskaja in Bergen in 2011. The man has previously been living with the girl’s mother. He denies having anything to death to do. The case was originally dismissed because police thought it likely involved a suicide.
* November 6: A 60-year-old man reported to the police and confess the murder of a woman in Oslo before he dumped her on Finnskogen in 1992. Police have charged him with murder, and the man are in custody. The body of the woman is not found. (© NTB)
