The four mayors from Lillehammer, Ringebu, Gausdal and Øyer in Gudbrandsdalen trooped last Friday up at municipal Minister Jan Tore Sanner (H) with the hope of getting more time to work on merging.
According to Aftenposten was the main question to the Minister rights to hunt and fish in the so-called state common – areas where State Forests has grunnbokhjemmel but where rural people have a strong right of use.
The fear is that with the new , large municipalities will hunting rights will be divided among several.
Erik Odlo Ringebu not exclude that such questions can affect voter views on the merger.
– It means a lot for very many, says Hans Oddvar Høistad from Gausdal. (© NTB)
