Søreide arranged “trial hearings” for agency managers – Sunnmørsposten

Søreide, military chief Håkon Bruun-Hanssen and Chief of Defence Logistics Organisation (FLO), Petter Jansen, had last week put down in front of Standing Committee on Scrutiny and Constitutional Affairs to answer how many Norwegian naval vessels could end up in the hands of paramilitary groups in West Africa.

But before the hearing was SØREIDE agency chiefs summoned for trial hearings in the Ministry, writes Dagbladet.

The Minister and her two subordinates were collected twice. In addition, it held an additional review with Jansen. The meetings were not filmed, and it was not brought abstracts, according to Dagbladet information. Ministry even compares sample hearings with «exam preparation».

The information evokes sharp reactions from members of the Standing Committee on Scrutiny and Constitutional Affairs.

– This is very special and traveling suspicion that the Defense Ministry was not standing as far away from this case as they have tried to give the impression all the way, says committee chairman Martin Kolberg (Ap). (© NTB)
