KrF say yes to 10,000 refugees from Syria – Aftenposten

The decision also means that the Christian Democrats are committed to at least triple the humanitarian aid in the vicinity of Syria.

Some delegates requested that the decision had to be supplemented with specific formulations that the state must take the bill for the Syrian refugees.

However, this was rejected, with reference to the convention shall assess a comprehensive draft resolution on settlement and inclusion of refugees Saturday.

Last weekend said Progress Party (FRP) National Congress said no to accommodate 10,000 refugees, but went on to increase aid in neighboring areas. Conservatives have not made a formal decision on the matter, but the prime minister and party leader Erna Solberg (H) has made clear that she believes 10,000 is too high a number.

The parties in Parliament started negotiations on the number of refugees Tuesday.
