Alarms Forest and Schaefer got Freedom of Expression Prize – Dagbladet.no

Freedom of Expression Foundation today gave this year’s Freedom of Expression award to police detective Robin Schaefer and representative Jan Erik Skog.

– It can be terribly far between being right and to get right, and that is why many who have suffered a completely different fate than me, said police investigator Robin Schaefer in its price voice.

In January 2014 he notified the management of the Hordaland police about what he perceived as serious shortcomings in the investigation of the eight year old Monika Sviglinskajas death.

Today received Schaefer Freedom of Expression Prize, which is the Foundation’s highest honor, along with representative Jan Erik Skog.

– It was like a tightrope – had not misstep . I knew I had no future in the firm I warned, said Forest in his speech.

He warned over a period of ten years Oslo City Council and the boards of Sporveisbussene (Unibuss) and Oslo Sporveier (KTP) for a number of unacceptable circumstances by corporations engaged in Oslo’s public transport.

– Freedom of Expression hope is that Robin Schaefer and Jan Erik Skog efforts will help lift up alarms important role in society, and the future whistleblowers are greeted in a professional manner. Therefore, the Freedom of Expression Prize 2015 said Chairman Georg Fr. Rieber-Mohn.
