A detached house in Holtet outside Harstad was burning in the night. The fire must have started just before the clock 02 on Thursday, and was reported by an occupant of the house.
A little after the clock 05.00 on Thursday morning, according to police that a woman in 70s died after residential fire.
Unresolved
– Female 70s died. The other people who were in the house, is under observation at the hospital.
Operations Anne Karlsen says to Nordlys around the clock 05.30, the cause of death is unclear.
– We can neither say anything about the cause of death or fire.
– Is the house destroyed?
– I understand that it has been mostly smoke. Yet I can not say anything about the condition of the property.
She notes that a total of five people in the house.

Half past two on Thursday informed police that four people rock out and that these are hospitalized now.
A fifth person was taken under treatment by a healthcare professional.
