(Dagbladet): A German man from a tour mates are critically injured after he fell several hundred meters down a cliff in Lyngen in Troms.
The incident took place on Russelvfjellet North Lenangen Sunday, according Troms Police.
A legehelikopter were sent to the site to retrieve the 50-year-old German man. All the others in the tour mates are also taken down from the mountain.
– It was at 15.05 today we received notification that a ski had fallen off a mountain side. The man fell an estimated 200 meters down, said operations manager Roy Tore Meyer told Dagbladet.
According to NRK, the man fell several hundred meters down a cliff.
– We get informed by the hospital that he is seriously injured. The man was partially buried in snow and had to be dug up, says operations manager Roy Tore Meyer.
University Hospital of North Norway informs according to NTB that the man now being treated for critical injuries.
